Apex Zoom Effective date: 2026-05-02

Summary

Apex Zoom does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data. The app makes no network requests. Photos you take are processed entirely on your iPhone and saved directly to your Photos library. We have no servers. We do not have analytics. We do not use third-party SDKs. There is nothing about you for us to leak, sell, or hand over.

What data we collect

None. The app does not transmit any data off your device. We do not run a server, an analytics endpoint, a crash reporter, or an advertising SDK. We never see your photos. We do not know who our users are.

iOS permissions the app requests

Permission Why Camera Show the live preview and capture photos. Microphone Reserved for an upcoming video-recording feature. The app does not currently record audio. Add to Photos Save the photos you take. We use the addOnly scope, which means the app cannot read or browse the rest of your library — only add new photos.

You can revoke any of these at any time in Settings → Apex Zoom.

On-device AI processing

When you take a photo at zoom levels above 1.5×, Apex Zoom runs the captured image through a super-resolution neural network (Real-ESRGAN, BSD-3-Clause) to recover detail lost to digital zoom. All inference happens on your device's Neural Engine. None of it is uploaded.

Children's privacy

Rated 4+. We collect nothing — including from children — and the app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking. Compliant with COPPA by collecting nothing.

Third-party services

None. No third-party services, SDKs, analytics, advertising networks, or social-login providers.

Third-party software

The app bundles a Core ML conversion of the open-source Real-ESRGAN x2plus model from xinntao (BSD-3-Clause). Full license text is included in the app bundle (LICENSES.txt).

Your rights under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws

Because we do not collect, store, or process any personal data, there is no personal data to access, port, correct, or delete. If you are a resident of a jurisdiction that grants such rights, they apply to you — in practice the answer to any data-subject request will be: "We do not hold any data about you." Email support@getapexzoom.com for written confirmation.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we will: (1) update the date at the top, (2) notify users in-app on next launch, (3) require explicit consent before any new data collection begins.

Note: This policy is what every reviewer / regulator wants to see for a true zero-data app. It's accurate as long as the app stays as-is. If you ever add analytics, crash reporting, IAP, or anything that touches the network, come back and update this — both the file and the live page — before the change ships.
